Engage is a one-day church leadership conference for pastors and lay leaders interested in leaving a legacy of discipleship in their church. The purpose of this gathering is to inspire and equip churches to raise up the next generation of disciples.

  • Tommy Nelson

    Senior Pastor of Denton Bible Church

    Tommy Nelson is the senior pastor of Denton Bible Church in Denton, Texas. He has served on staff at Denton Bible for nearly 40 years. One of four boys, Tommy grew up in Waco, Texas, where he played football and baseball. Tom was the quarterback for the North Texas Mean Green and holds degrees from the University of North Texas (’73) and Dallas Theological Seminary (’82).


    Tommy has taught over 150 Song of Solomon Marriage Conferences nationwide and is the featured teacher for a number of video series and the author of several books including the best- selling Book of Romance, A Life Well Lived: A Study of the Book of Ecclesiastes, and Walking on Water When You Feel Like You're Drowning. He has also been a featured speaker for several national ministries such as Focus on the Family, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and FamilyLife Today.


    Tom married his best friend, Teresa, in 1972, and they have two sons, Benjamin and John Clark, who are both married and, together, have given Tom and Teresa six grandchildren.

  • Will Heath

    Lead Navigator at Auxano

    Will Heath is a unique voice on the topic of transition management and succession planning. His ministry and professional experiences have afforded him rare, front-row access to succession plans at various stages of development and implementation in churches, para-church ministries, nonprofits, and businesses.


    In 2010, Will commissioned the Barna Group to conduct a national survey of 600 pastors on the issue of retirement based transitions. In 2012, he began speaking at conferences and consulting with ministry leaders in the area of succession planning. Will now leads Auxano's initiative to help ministries understand how to effectively navigate seasons of leadership transition.


    Will lives in Murphy, TX with his wife Ali and their two girls. He serves on the Board of Trustees for Christar, a missions agency that plants churches in the context of least-reached people groups. In his spare time, he enjoys coaching high jump for their local summer track club, disc golf (RHBH) and volleyball.

  • Shane Pruitt

    Director of Missions for SBTC

    Shane serves as the Director of Missions for the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention, which means he oversees the Missions and Church Planting departments. The Convention is made up of over 2,600 churches which is home to 1.2 million people. He and his wife, Kasi, reside in Rowlett, TX with their four children - Raygen, Harper, Titus, & Elliot. He has been in ministry for over 15 years as a church planter, lead pastor, associate pastor, and student pastor. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biblical Studies, a Master's Degree in History, and a PhD in Clinical Christian Counseling. Shane is also a traveling communicator & Bible teacher for many churches, student camps, revivals, rallies, retreats, schools, Disciple-Now retreats, conferences, banquets, panels, etc. He is also the author of a 60-day devotional titled, The Secret Place and the popular blog, called Already AM, which has over 1.8 million views.

  • Brandon Cox

    Lead Pastor at Grace Hills Church & Editor of Pastors.com

    Brandon Cox is the Lead Pastor of Grace Hills Church in Rogers, Arkansas. He has been a pastor for nineteen years at churches in Kentucky and Arkansas. Most recently, Brandon served as a Pastor at Saddleback Church. He continues to work for Saddleback as Editor of Rick Warren’s online resource for leaders, Pastors.com. He’s madly in love with his wife, Angie, and his three kids, Ella (age 14), Sam ( age 6), and Drew (age 3).
